Once ....a reporter asked a presidential candidate "What do you think of your opponent ?" ...The candidate " Who is my opponent ? We are just two patriots trying to run the country in two different ways " .... What is the defination of a political leader? Isnt political leaders are essentially "LEADERS" who are supposed to be doing the most important job of running the system ????? Arent political leaders supposed to be in different political parties based on different ideologies .?????
Now let us look at some of such "political leaders" and such"politics" in front of us . Suresh Kalmady , the person who brought tissue papers worth rs 350 and "rented " fridges with Rs 40000 ...... Mr A. Raja the person who caused a loss of one lakh crores to the central government .... The Chief Minister of Maharashtra , Ashok Chavan who went on giving away flats to his relatives when those flats were meant for Kargil war heroes ..... When we come to our political leaders , there is no shortage of examples ..... Lalu Prasad Yadav ...convicted of criminal cases and yet running for a chief minister ..... Lets look at the parliament ..... it has been stalled since 11th November and no work has yet been done ....the opposition and ruling party have locked their horns over a JPC and it remains disfunctional ...... Each minute of a parliament costs around rs 1500 ...till now the loss for not running the parliament has been 61 crores ...Does any of the political leaders know the value of that money is when every minute 5 children are dying around India due to hunger only .....
Now let us see another image of Parliament .... HONOURABLE MPs shouting and screaming in the well for "A PAY RISE" and trying to grab Hamid Ansaris micophone ..... What is the parliament ...a zoo full of monkeys or the most important office of the country deciding the course of history .....
When you ask a child what do you want to become in future ...we get occasional replies as "engineer, doctor , scientist etc" but never a politician .... the image of politics have got tarnished very badly ...negetive politics hurt politics as a whole rather than the politicians ...In our own state The TMC is behaving like a bull running at any sign of red that appears in the horizon ...the fight of ideology has been replaced by personal vendetta and personal abuses ...Mamata Banerjee went as far as insulting the wife of our CM let alone insulting him ..... Politics has turned a bloody circus in West Bengal .....And it is bleeding profously .... more than 350 CPIM party workers have been killed in Lalgarh .....killing has been the order of the day in West midnapore ...... Everyday there is one or more dead body lying in the streets and it has been so common that people are just walkgn past it as it is that of a dog ....... A child of eight , had to write "Ami CPIM kori na" in a slate in front of her fathers dead body to allow it to be cremated ... These killers call them Maoists ...hell they dont even know who Mao Tse Tung was .....
In all of these ...who looses out ... Nothing but politics ...as the common man loose their faith on poltics we tend to loose our trust on the government and the system thats running us .... What is poltics ???? It is supposed to be public service ...... It is supposed to consist of the most honourable political leaders who are dedicated the cause of this country ...When we see them creating havoc in the parliament for their salary to be raised .......We can see that they are dedicated ...but dont know about their cause ........
